Is there a way to use the XcmpXnl program with the gen 2 radios? most functions work except the radio display area.

I'm not sure what you mean - does the radio have a display ?
Or the radio doesn't have a display but XcmpXnl.exe tries to display something anyway ?
Any chance of a screenshot please (and not the full 40"
).
