Audio Cable for TransTRBO

Post by phillharden »

Hi Guys, this is a data / audio cable for TransTRBO. There is a drawing of the PMLN5072 pin-outs under Help on the CPS, just search for "Rear Connector".

Hope it helps,

For what it's worth, you may need to incorporate ground isolation between the radio and computer. I use 600/1k audio transformers with pots to vary the audio in and out. Laptops tend not to be grounded to the 110VAC lines while the radios are generally grounded. So it may or may not be an issue in your situation.

Mobiles have a COS output. CPS generally allows for setting up the control lines so that PTT and PL/TG Detect work correctly. There is also the ability in CPS for filtered audio. So a number of gotchas in the setup of the radio to accept input from the computer as well as interfacing to a device that can simulate control.

HT's are more limited in their use, especially if you need more than an outboard PTT.
