Hi to all and Happy New Year,
I am wondering how it could be possible to record incoming radio traffic audio when a portable radio (in my case a DP4801) is connected to the PC.
Is there any way to record audio through the PMKN4012B USB cable, which connects the radio to the PC and the TransTRBO program ?
Any bluetooth ideas maybe ?
Thanks !

Hi Kondoras,
There is an excellent couple of threads on Mike NO7RF's forums

For Mobile radios, Mike suggests using:
As to Bluetooth - I'll chase up JPW, as he had that working on his rig.
cheers
Will

I use that configuration with success.Hi Ivan,
You will use pin 12 for audio ground, pin 14 for Rx audio and pin 11 if you wish to use a PC mic to go out onto the TRBO radio. Recommend a 10K 1:1 audio transformer in-line for connection to your PC's line level audio input and output. Not mandatory just a good practice as it minimizes ground loop and DC voltage issues on the audio line. But this is mandatory if you are using an HT rather than a Mobile (not likely but some may)!!!

Re: Audio recording
Trying to keep it as simple as possible...
I don't use the USB cable at all.
Step 1 : Radio connected with the TransTRBO program through Bluetooth (using default IP 192.168.11.2) = Program so far appears to work OK.
Step 2: Through this adapter (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Audio-Adaptor-f ... 2a3fd9a07b) I am sending audio to my soundcard.
I will test during the next few days the above setup and I 'll let you know if everything works as expected.

I confirm that with the above setup audio recording and TransTRBO program works fine !
