Hello Will,
yesterday during a civil defense test with other associations, using transtrbo to send text messages, I noticed that messages sent to various radio, vennivano just received from motorola trbo radio (DMR), with which protocol is transmitted (owners of Motorola ?).
Interesting would also be able to send messages to other radio example Hytera radio, or even be able to send messages with stanadrd DMR, so you can send text messages also to trademark different radio motorola.

Hi,

I think you can change a setting in the Motorola and other makes of radio to use the generic text message format rather than the proprietary one used by different manufacturers.

As long as they are all set the same they should work.

Hi Giuseppe exchange of SMS between Moto and Hyt are allowed only if you change to "Standard DMR" on "Compressed UDP" and "Kind of text" for each channel just above RX and TX
